Why wont my astra drive in any gear?

i have vauxhall astra tdi 1.7 which i,ve just bought it drove fine bringin it home 2 days later i went to drive it, started fine just will not move in any gear i just dont understand what the problem could be as its my first astra can anyone hhed some light what the problem could be as i,m at the point of dispair
