Help with a New Beagle Dog!?

Ok well my friend is comin here in like the next 30 min and he is bringin me a new dog. Its a pup and im paying for it!.. My parents have no clue that he is coming or that im getting a new dog! I really need help. Don't tell me that i am not old enough or that i shouldn't have it. I just want things to tell mom and dad to convince them that i can have the dog! You are intitled to your own opinions but if it doesn't pertain to the question, please keep it to yourself. Thanks! (:
